We’re very excited to announce that a new major version of Fiddme is now publically available on the AppStore.
Facebook Connect and Twitter OAuth Support
Signing up to fiddme no longer requires your Twitter credentials.
When you login to the application you’ll see the new login wizard that will allow you to connect your Twitter and\or Facebook account and import your friends:
You can later change these settings on the settings screen at the fiddme website and you can always import more friends using the People Finder screen:![]()
(note to existing users: we’re concerned about your privacy! in the next few days we’ll be converting your existing Twitter credentials in our database to OAuth tokens. We will no longer store your username and password information on our database)
Share your Emotions, Control Twitter\Facebook Aggregation
Food is an emotional experience, and we’d like to let you express your emotions in ways beyond plain text captions.
That is why we’ve added a more options screen when adding a new bite that lets you tell the world how you feel.
You can also specify the services your new bite will be aggregated to on this screen:
Adding places to fiddme just got easier
We’ve simplified the process of adding a new place to fiddme.
When looking for a place we’ll also display results from external sources (like Google) below the fiddme results.
If the place you’re currently at isn’t on fiddme yet can be found elsewhere you can simply select the external listing and we’ll fill the relevant data in the Add New Place screen:
A simple step forward…
Today’s fiddme release makes it easier and more fun to use and resolves the privacy concerns we’ve had with previous release.
Its just a first step enabling a set of new ideas and features we’re planning in the future…
